An interesting difference between Oracle and MySQL

This is a very interesting and important difference between the Default settings of oracle and mysql isolation levels.

Default Isolation Level for Oracle = READ COMMITED
Defautl for MySQL = REPEATABLE READ

Not only that Oracle doesn't support REPEATABLE-READ. Oracle's interpretation of Isolation level is different. I have posted some observations at http://rejeev.blogspot.com/2008/01/transaction-isolation-level-and.html
